1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DiaShot ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DiaShot is a web-based diagram generation and export tool. The Service allows users to create, edit, and export diagrams in various formats (PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF).

3. User Accounts

Some features require creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

4. Subscription & Payments

DiaShot offers both free and paid ("Pro") subscription plans. Pro features are billed in advance via Polar.sh. All payments are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to bypass export limits, watermarks, or Pro feature gating
• Use automated tools to abuse the Service or API endpoints
• Upload or generate illegal, harmful, or infringing content
• Reverse-engineer or decompile the Service

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of diagrams you create. DiaShot retains ownership of the software, trademarks, and service infrastructure. Free-tier exports include a "Made with DiaShot" watermark that may not be removed without a Pro subscription.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access for violations of these terms. Pro subscriptions may be cancelled by you at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

8. Limitation of Liability

DiaShot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from use or inability to use the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary to operate the Service:

• Account info: Email (if you create an account via Supabase Auth)
• Usage data: Export counts, diagram formats, feature usage (for enforcing free limits)
• Payment info: Handled by Polar.sh — we do not store credit card numbers

2. How We Use Information

• To provide and maintain the Service
• To enforce subscription tiers and export limits
• To process payments via Polar.sh
• To improve the Service (aggregate analytics, no personal identifiers)

3. Data Storage

Data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL + Auth). Diagram content is processed in-memory on our servers and is not persistently stored unless you explicitly save it to your account.

4. Third Parties

We share data only with:

• Polar.sh — for payment processing
• Supabase — for authentication and database hosting
• Google Gemini API — for AI Assist feature (prompts sent only when you use the feature)

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage for app preferences (theme, editor settings). We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

6. Data Retention

Export logs are retained for 90 days for limit enforcement. Account data is retained until you delete your account.

7. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

8. Changes to Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Significant changes will be notified via the Service.
